Quatrième édition de ce projet numérique que nous avons initié en 2018, Une 4xposition se donne pour ligne directrice d’exposer six artistes pendant six semaines d’affilée, à raison d’une photographie par semaine — soit : un.e photographe présenté.e chaque semaine, à qui nous demandons de faire un « état des lieux » de son travail à l’instant t à travers un cliché unique. Libre à elle ou à lui d’accompagner l’image d’une explication, d’un texte, ou seulement d’un titre : le désir que nous avons est de réunir six visions, sans imposer un thème précis mais avec l’intuition que sans se connaître, ni s’être concertées, ces six images auront des choses à se dire, se répondront peut-être, voire se complèteront.
metamorphosis
This is a picture of my son on the cusp of 15. I Love that the reflection shows him soft on one side and angular on the other. It’s such an accurate metaphor for the transition from boy to man.
Love also what you said about water hiding or protecting what is deeper, that is also very appropriate for him. Still waters run deep, he is a quiet but thoughtful boy/man.
Voici une photographie de mon fils à l’aube de ses 15 ans. J’aime que son reflet le fasse apparaître doux d’un côté et anguleux de l’autre. C’est une métaphore tellement juste de la transition qui s’opère quand un garçon devient un homme.
J’aime également ce que vous m’avez écrit à propos de l’eau qui cache ou protège ce qui est profondément ancré : je trouve que c’est très approprié pour lui. Il faut se méfier de l’eau qui dort, dit-on : bien que calme, mon fils est un garçon (un homme) très songeur.

Samira Kafala works as a commercial photographer for clients in Amsterdam and for editorial publications including de Volkskrant and Libération.
She has self-published two books, Yugen, a photographic exploration of impermanence and The Kafalas, a book of images selected from a 50-year-old archive of Kodachrome slides taken by her British grandfather of her childhood in Libya.
Samira holds a BA from Bath College of Art and an MFA from Chelsea School of Art.”
Samira Kafala travaille dans la publicité en tant que photographe pour une clientèle basée à Amsterdam et pour des journaux comme Volkskrant et Libération.
Elle a auto-publié deux livres, Yugen, une exploration photographique de la fugacité, et The Kafalas, un livre d’images à partir d’archives de cinquante ans de diapositives prises par son grand-père britannique en Lybie.

The ones we love vol 1 Exhibition and Publication
The Ones We Love started as a web-based project curated by Lindley Warren, photographers were invited to share images of “people they love, cherish, and find inspiration within.” The Ones We Love grew into a 100-page hardback publication printed by Conveyor Arts and distributed internationally as The Ones We Love Vol 1.
